^ preceding your input will only match items beginning with that string. For example ^intl will match INTL BUSINESS MACHINES, et. al., whereas just plain intl will exceed the search limits.
Wildcard expressions can be matched with a [.] (That's a period). Try to be as specific as you can because matches are limited to 50 tickers. When running a search it is a good idea to start out with the lowest common denominator. For example PBHG is much more likely to be found in our files than "PBHG Growth".
